FLYNN, BARBARA A.
87, of 400 Narragansett Parkway, Warwick, RI passed into the arms of our Lord on Friday, August 4th at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston, RI
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John F. Flynn and Mary G. Flynn, and the sister of the late Capt. John J. Flynn (USN-Ret). She graduated from St. Xavier's Academy in 1948 and attended Katharine Gibbs in Providence, RI. She was employed as a Customer Service representative at Narragansett Electric Company from 1951 to 1993. A communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Warwick, RI she was also a volunteer with Special Religious Education (SPRED) for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Mary V. Burkhardt of Johnston, RI, a brother, Col. Lawrence D. Flynn, USAF, Ret. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and her many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 118 King Phillip St., Providence. Burial will be immediately following at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
