Kim was a 1977 graduate of Tri-West High School in Lizton. She worked at Caplinger’s Fresh Catch Seafood. Kim was passionate about the organization, SOCS “So Others Can Survive” and volunteered there, helping the homeless. She enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions and working picture puzzles. Most of all, Kim loved spending time with her grandkids and taking them fishing. They lovingly called her “Grammer.”
In addition to her parents of Danville, those left to cherish Kim’s memory include three children, Amy Riddle of Indianapolis, Gabriel (Tasha) Caplinger of Indianapolis, and Elijah (Alicia) Caplinger of Greenwood; nine grandchildren, Ty, Davon, Desiree, Nicholas, Erin, William, Luke, Cayden, and Connor; four siblings, Danita (Bob) Neal of Cross Lanes, WV, Brad (Cherrie) Riddle of Avon, Marcie (Joe) Taylor of Cloverdale, and Craig (Susan) Riddle of Danville; Kim is also survived by a special friend, Glen Stringer, of Fillmore, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Caplinger Jr., and a nephew, Tyler Riddle.
Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
