A burial service for Mrs. Bessie Garner McDonnell, a Fredericksburg native who died Wednesday at her home in Charles Town, W. Va., was held this afternoon in City Cemetery. Rev. Thomas G. Faulkner Jr. conducted the rites, following a service this morning at Charles Town.

Mrs. McDonnell was the widow of Robert McDonnell, also a Fredericksburg native. They left here some 40 years ago to make their home at Charles Town.

Her nearest survivor is a brother, Dr. Elliott Garner, in Maryland.
