Our dear son, brother and friend Alec Derrey passed from this world to the next on Friday, May 3, 2019.
Alec was born on March 19, 1987. He graduated from Zillah High School where he met many of his lifelong friends. He later graduated from WYO Tech in Sacramento, California with a degree in Diesel Mechanics.
Alec was a fantastic mechanic and was able to fix and figure out almost anything. He was always happiest spinning wrenches and spending time in the shop with his Dad and brother. He loved working on and driving his cars, especially his 1963 Nova. He was always quick to help his mom and his friends with any objects that needed doing.
He loved fine clothes, music and photography and added an artistic flare to everything he did. We have many wonderful photos he took over the years that we will always hold dear.
Alec had wonderful sense of humor but a bit of mischievous streak as well. Many of his friends would agree. He had no problem telling people wha the thought of. At the same time, he was compassionate, selfless and cared deeply for others.
He loved his family and friends and had a special place in his heart for his kitty boys, Rigby and Bucky.
Alec will be missed by all who were touched by his huge heart, quick smile and fast wit.
He will never be forgotten and forever loved.
Alec is survived by his mom and dad, brother and sister in law, his grandmother, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A viewing has been scheduled for Thursday May 9th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
Graveside service will be Friday May 10th at 2:00pm at Zillah Cemetery. Please join us following the service for a potluck meal at Buena Grange, 170 Highland Drive, Buena.
