Jimmy Carl Turner, 77, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his home. He was born April 15, 1942, in Morrilton, the son of the late Carl and Louise Lemley Turner. He was a member and deacon of Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, and a graduate of Morrilton High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gail Turner.
He is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Chambers and Cindy and husband Micah Martin; step-son, Terry Moore; step-daughter, Tammy Nowlin; brother, Mike Turner and wife Sharon; grandsons, Bryon Turner and Clayton Moore; granddaughter, Dranda Hall; great-granddaughter, Ezra Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 8, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial is in Hoskins Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers are Paul Turner, Wesley Tackett, Jamie Turner, Terry Miller, Curt Hall, and Micah Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, c/o Kim Russell.
