Robert M. Winkler, 79, of Greybull, Wyoming died May 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born August 3, 1939 to Ray and Sylvia (Hodson) Winkler in Greybull, Wyoming. Shortly after High School he married Sherrilynn Rae Asp, on December 26, 1961. Bob served in the Army National Guard and was ordered to active duty during the conflict with Cuba. He had a 30 year career with the BNSF Railroad as an Engineer (1973-2003), he was also a heavy equipment operator. Bob got to be the Engineer on the Bicentennial train that crossed the state and came through Greybull in the 1970’s. He also loved to farm and raised cattle. Bob loved the outdoors and enjoyed any time the family had on the mountain. He loved his family dearly.

Bob is preceeded in death by his parents, Ray and Sylvia Winkler; Step-Mother, Edna Winkler; and brother, Gary Winkler.

His legacy includes his best friend and wife, Sherri Winkler; son, Troy (Michelle) Winkler of Harrisburg, PA; son, Lyndon (Nancy) Winkler of Cody, WY; son, Justin (Toni) Winkler of Greybull, WY; daughter, Bobbi (John) Haley of Greybull, WY; brother, Roy (Sherri) Winkler of Greybull, WY; sister, Kay Lynam of Lovell, WY; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
