Bobby Gene Warren Sr., 84, died Sunday, May 5, 2019. Born in Lowell, NC, Bobby served one tour in the US Army where he reached the rank of Sgt E5 in just 22 months. His last duty station was the Patrick Henry Nike site. He also met his wife Linda Kilmon Warren while in the service and they were married in 1959 and she passed away in 1978.

Bobby went on to work for Kentucky Fried Chicken for over 30 years as a store manager. He loved riding around town in his yellow ’72 Chevelle, watching NASCAR, gardening and watching westerns on TV.

Bobby is survived by his significant other of over 10 years, Janice Wood; sons, Bobby Gene Warren Jr, Alton Ray Warren and Brian Kelly Warren; sisters, Celia Greely and Nancy Hoffman (Nelson); grandchildren, Kelsey Warren, Stephanie Warren and Jonathan Warren; three great-grandchildren, Alice Smith, Holden Myles and Niav Myles.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton with interment to follow in Clark Cemetery.
