Mrs. JULIA ANNA (CLAYTON HENDERSON) HALEY was the daughter of Judge William Clayton and Mrs. Jane E. (Johnson) Clayton.

She was one of 19 children born to her parent's union. Her known siblings were Coyal Clayton, Matilda Clayton, Emmaline Clayton, Marshall H. Clayton, Frank Clayton, Costonia Clayton, Elijah Clayton, Walter C. Clayton, Pinkie Clayton, Pearlina Clayton and Corean Clayton. Sadly, seven of her siblings, whose names are yet to be known, did not live into adulthood.

She was the mother of three children including Hubbie Henderson Haley, Herbert Haley and Helen Jean Haley.

"Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, in Marshall, for Mrs. Julia Clayton Haley. The Rev. J.J. Jones will be the officiating minister, and interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, in Hallsville. She was the last of 19 sisters and brothers. Survivors include two sons, Hubbie Haley, with his wife, Ruth, and their three daughters; and Herbert Haley, and his wife, Leslie, and their twelve children; and a number of nieces and nephews."

Note: Her parents married December 29, 1866 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. The 1900-1910 census recorded that 17 children were born to their union, and by 1910, only 12 of them were still living. However, Julia's obituary reported that 19 children were born to her parent's union. Further, Julia's husbands were Hubbie Henderson {married 1918} and Willie B. Haley {married 1932}.
