Carol Marlene (Chambers) Franklin, 78, died Nov. 5, 2011.

Born on July 15, 1933 in Ashland, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Chambers,
she was the wife of Dr. Aris William Franklin.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Diane Franklin, and is survived by son, Timothy William Franklin; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Franklin; granddaughter and grandson, Carolyn Janice (CJ) and Parker Franklin.

Carol was a proud resident of Bath Township for 41 years. She dedicated much time, with tremendous passion, to local causes and organizations as a member of The Junior League of Akron, Cuyahoga-Portage Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Summit County Medical Alliance, Bath's Women's Club, Bath Alpha Garden Club, Bath in Bloom, Bath Historical Society as a Trustee, and the Bath Township Zoning Commission.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
