Mrs. Rogers was born October 14, 1953 in Heard County to the late Lonza Webster Denney and Myra Adams Denney. She was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church.

Prior to her retirement she was employed as the payroll clerk for the Heard County Board of Education. Her attention to detail served her well in her position, and she was a trusted employee for many years.

She was proud of her heritage. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy Heard County Chapter #2587, the Daughters of the American Revolution James Stewart Chapter, and the William Wofford National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century.

At home she loved to cook. One of her favorite foods to prepare was cornbread. She also collected cookbooks and tea sets.

She really enjoyed watching sports, especially football. She was a big fan of her hometown Heard County Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Falcons.

Times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, were very precious to her. One of her favorite holidays was Halloween, when everyone dressed up and went trick-or-treating. She also loved vacations to the beach.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Joel Rogers of Franklin; two sons, Jared Rogers of Franklin and Jake Rogers (Lori) of Cartersville; four grandchildren, Andrew (AJ) Rogers, McKenzie Jackson, Bryce Rogers, and Kinsley Rogers; one sister, Sharon Frost (Charlie) of Franklin; one brother, Larry Denney (Candi) of Roopville; a special friend, Ginger Hartlein; and a number of other relatives and friends.
