Lori was born in Grande Prairie and spent her childhood on the family farm with her uncle Turi and aunt Violet Friberg in the La Glace area. It was there that she developed a love for writing to express her feelings, and a love for animals.

Lori was able to live in a few different places including Peace River, where she gave birth to her two sons Brett and Brandon. Later in life she moved to New Brunswick with the love of her life Dean Stafford, but they returned to Grande Prairie to be with her family.

Lori’s smile and laughter will be missed by the many friends she made along the way.

Lori was predeceased by her mother Thelma, father, brother Neil, and sister Carol.

Lori will be lovingly remembered by her partner Dean Stafford, her sons Brett and Brandon, her brothers Terry (Linda) Macaulay, Morris (Pat) Tofteland, Roy (Laura) Tofteland, sister Wanda (Greg) Peterson, brother-in-law Doug Nelson, special nieces Candy and Carly, along with many other family and friends.
