Mrs. Wells had worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and later as a custodian for the West Shore School District. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Enola. Catherine was an avid Penn State and Notre Dame football fan and loved polka dancing and family activities, especially card games and cross word puzzles. Her life revolved around her family. She was preceded in death by six siblings.
Surviving are four daughters and a son: Yvonne (Philip) Gouse of Dauphin; Linda Darling of Mechanicsburg; Pamela (Boh) Wittle of Newport; Lisa (Ronald) Deibert of Dillsburg and Richard (Theresa) Wells of Marysville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from the Richardson Funeral Home, Enola with Fr. Steven Fauser officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of Artis Senior Living and Grane Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for their mother.
