Mrs. Stripling passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Meadow Lake Nursing Home in Tyler. She was born October 18, 1938 in Mansfield, LA to Faye and Catherine Stiles.
Linda was a member of Noonday Methodist Church. She received her B.A. from Trinity University in San Antonio and retired as a school teacher from Bullard ISD. Linda was known for her love of traveling from Alaska to the Amazons and Turkey to Indonesia.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Larry Stripling of Lake Palestine; daughter, Kathy Lynn Stripling Shane and husband Johnny of Tyler; brother, John Stiles and wife Charlotte of Logansport, LA; sister, Betty Stiles Goree of Shreveport, LA; sister, Annelle Hartley and husband Kenneth of Dallas; sister, Sarah Stiles of Washington, D.C.; and many nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.
Pallbearers will be Donald Alexander, John Stiles, Jr., Brad Hartley, Matthew Alexander, Larry Boyd and Kenneth Hartley.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
