Ralph E. Franklin, 88, of Higginsville, died May 3rd, at his home.

Ralph was born August 28, 1930 near Corder, to James and Edna (Allander) Franklin. He married Doris Beck on September 18, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He worked at Berger Construction for a while and then many years as a lineman at West Central Electric and the City of Higginsville.

Ralph was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church as a lector and Eucharistic minister. He was instrumental in getting the Knights of Columbus reestablished at the church. He was a past District Deputy and Grand Knight and a member of the 4th Degree Assembly.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Margie Rankin; sister, Norma Farrell; brothers, James Franklin, Jr. and Cecil Franklin.

He is survived by:

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 7th at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will follow from 7-8 pm

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 8th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiated Fr. Tom Hawkins.

Casket Bearers will be Nick Rankin, Matt Rankin, Chad Rankin, Begi Quarti, Trenton Rankin, Brendan Jackson.

There will be Knights of Columbus Honor Guard from the 4th degree assembly.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery
