Tullahoma - Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Lou Baker, age 94, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Baker passed from this life on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Tennova Healthcare – Harton in Tullahoma, TN.
Clara was born in Franklin Co., TN to the late M.C. and Martha Scroggins. She retired from Wilson Ball Factory and was a very hard worker. Clara loved to bake and sew, even making her own clothes and clothes for her granddaughters. Clara was fiercely independent, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Clara is also preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Sherman Baker; four brothers, Clifford, William, Lehman, and Jett Scroggins; one sister, Mary Arnold. She is survived by her son, David Baker (Donna); one daughter, Peggy Clanton (Charles Raymond); three grandchildren, Karen Brashears (Mike), Terra Trail (Lannie Smith), and Josh Baker (Jennifer); four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kellie Brashears, Libby Trail, and Avery Baker.
