Patent trader - Thursday, April 4, 1968: - BREWSTER - Thomas J. Flanagan, 83, of 4 Garden Street a retired conductor with the NY Central Railroad, died Friday at his home. Mr. Flanagan was born March 7, 1885, in Mahopac, son of the late Thomas J. and Ann Nolan Flanagan. He attended schools in Carmel and was graduated from Eastman College, Poughkeepsie. He also attended classes at Columbia University in New York City. On February 10, 1907 he married Amy A. Nodine, in St. Joseph's Church, Croton Falls. He retired from the railroad 13 years ago. Mr. Flanagan was a communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster. He was a member of the Brotherhood of RaiIroad Trainmen. Besides his wife, he leaves one son, John F. Flanagan of White Plains and two daughters, Mrs. Francis J. Burke and Mrs. John Hilsbos, both of Falls Church, Va. A requiem mass was said Wednesday morning at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster. With burial in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery.
