Death of George Baker
Last night Mr. George Baker died at his residence, No. 14 Lena street in this city, of consumption. Mr. Baker was one of the best known stone mason in this city and has been connected with some of the largest stone mason enterprises in this county. He constructed the stone wall along the Georges Creek Railroad company in the Narrows and built the abutments for a number of the county bridges. His funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from SS. Peter and Paul's church, the interment will be in the cemetery connected with that church. SS. Peter and Paul's Benevolent Society of which the deceased was a member will attend the funeral in a body. A wife and five children survive.
