John W. Hall, 90, of Flatwoods, Ky., entered into eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at his residence.

Mr. Hall was born Sept. 7, 1916, in Naples, Ky., a son of the late James Milligan and Rose Minta Fields Hall. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Alice Hall; three sisters, Mary Ester Hall, Bessie Stephenson and Martha Bishop; and two brothers, Chester Lee Hall and Erastus Hall.

He was a retired farmer and maintenance worker.

Surviving are his love wife, Victoria Haywood Hall; two sons, Russell Clayton Hall of Flatwoods and Paul Edward Hall of Streamwood, Ill.; a sister, Verna Bishop of Belleville, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., by the Rev. Mike Rice and the Rev. Lee Gussler. Burial will be in Hall Cemetery in Ashland. Graveside military rites will be by American Legion Post 276 of South Shore, Ky.

Pallbearers will be John Edward Hall, Ricky Lee Hall, Glenn Edward Hall, Glenn Cooper, Bill Erst and Al Stringer.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
