Don was raised in Earlsboro and graduated with the class of 1970 from Earlsboro High School.
He married the love of his life, Janice “Kaye” Brown on March 28, 1971 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2015.
Don retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas Company.
He was a member of Whites Chapel CME and Ware Chapel. Don loved cooking, going to drag races and car shows and fixing up old cars, especially his Mach 1 1969 Ford Mustang. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice “Kaye” Carr, his parents, J.C. and Leola Carr, one sister, Francis Hearn and one brother, J.C. Carr Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna Kaye Carr of Shawnee, Oklahoma, son, Bobby Eugene Carr of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lois Nubine of Oklahoma City and Wanda Johnson of Moore, Oklahoma, three brothers, Charles Carr of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Eddie Carr of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Melvin Carr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Evangelistic Center Church with Reverend James Grayson with Israel Chapel in Spencer, Oklahoma officiating. Burial will follow at Earlsboro Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
