Billy Barrett, 84, of Osceola, Texas passed away May 2, 2019 in Fort Worth. He was born December 19, 1934 to Elvin and Juanita Barrett.
He was a carpenter for over 60 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing the fiddle and occasionally the mandolin and loved old-time country music like that of Hank Williams, Sr. and Jimmie Rodgers. Billy was an automobile enthusiast and loved to fish and take extra-good care of his lawn. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Osceola, Texas until it disbanded.
Preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Elvin Barrett, his wife, Glendolyn Jane Irvin Barrett and his brother, Jimmy Barrett. Survived by his brothers, Robert, Douglas and Rob Roy; sisters, Patsy, June, Louise and Dorothy; sons, Dale and David; 9 grand children and 13 great-grand children.
A Graveside service is scheduled May 5, 2019 at Itasca Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Texas...CSFH
