Leon was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School and Wards School of Business. He worked as a bookkeeper for over 40 years in the banking industry as well as with Bethlehem Apparatus and Bethlehem Furniture. Mr. Brooks was an Air Force veteran and was a member of American Legion Post #576, Allentown. He was a life-member of the Fullerton Fire Co. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of Our Lady Help of Christians, both in Allentown. Leon was an active resident and served many offices at B'nai B'rith.
Survivors: Daughter: Vicki E. Adams and her fiancé Troy A. Lagler of Allentown; Grandsons: Nicholas P. Adams and Casey A. Lagler; Brother: Robert Brooks and his wife Eunice; Sisters: Anna Mae Loewen and Betty Jane Kuntz. Leon was predeceased by a brother Donald Brooks.
Services: 10 am Monday, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown 18102. Call 4 - 6 pm Sunday and 9 - 10 am Monday, all in the funeral home.
