She was born on February 21, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Walter Neal and Mamie Louise (Stephens) Mathis.
She retired from Combustion Engineering Co. after many years of service and was a member of the East Brainerd Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward D. Davis; brothers, Walter, Robert, James, Woodrow, and Joe Mathis; and sisters, Margaret Mathis, Evelyn Jarrett, and Cynthia Walker.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Lee; grandchildren, Charles (Michele) Lee, Jeffery (Jennifer) Lee; great-grandchildren, Adam and Grace Lee; brother, Fred Mathis; sister, Barbara Roberson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 6 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Tom Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
