Tammy Louise Conley, 56, of Oak Hill, formerly of Buffalo Creek, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, leaving from her residence with her loving daughter by her side, after a long illness.
She was born on January 23, 1963, at Logan, the daughter of the late Everett Ray and Laura Maxine (McClure) Adkins.
In addition to her parents, those gathered at Heaven’s gate to welcome her home were two sisters, Regina Mitchell and Judy Cottle; and one brother, Rev. Michael Adkins.
Tammy was a 1981 graduate of Man High School. She was a homemaker and was a wonderful mother who raised three children by herself. Tammy was a lifelong member of the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church and sang with the Faith Gospel Singers and the Adkins Family. An amazing Nana, Tammy loved spending time with her grandbabies. She also loved taking her grandchildren to church. Tammy was kind and compassionate, always putting others before herself.
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Steven Conley and his fiancé, Kelsea, of Mt. Hope, Trevor Moore, and Paige Moore and her fiancé, Joey with whom she made her home, and Myles Moore of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Austin Pinson, Madison Conley, Serenity Persinger, Jaxon Conley, Jak Childers, Grayson Childers, and Leo Moore; three sisters, Donna (Greg) Bowen of Morganton, NC, Trudy (Meredith) Trent of Beckley, and Gwen McDonald of Lenore, NC; three brothers, Larry Ray Adkins of Oak Hill, Roger (LouVerna) Adkins and Rev. Bobby (Jennifer) Adkins, both of Lorado; two uncles, Casey Adkins, Jr of Lundale and Don McClure of Ravenswood; and one aunt, Lorraine McNeely of Sharples; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church at Lundale and one hour prior to services at the church also.
A Celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, May 6, 2019, at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Adkins and Rev. Kevin Koutsunis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
