Elmer L. Wallace, Jr., age 60, of Parsons, KS, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Freeman Medical Center in Joplin, MO.
A visitation will be held from 4PM-7PM, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Zach Webb Family Funeral Service in Independence. A memorial service will be held at Zach Webb Family Funeral Service on Friday, July 20, at 2:00PM with Pastor Gary Sylvas officiating. Elmer L. Wallace, Jr., was born March 4, 1958, in Kansas City, MO, to Elmer LeRoy Wallace, Sr. and Celastine (Britt) Wallace. He attended Montgomery County public schools. Later, he received a degree in plumbing and refrigeration and worked various jobs in the Kansas and Missouri area. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Britt.
Later, on March 23, 2013, he married Robin Austin and she survives at the home.
Left to mourn in addition to the wife, Robin Wallace, include: Elmer's two daughters; Towanna Byrd Larsen of Independence, KS, and Whitney Wallace of Topeka, KS. His son; David Cline of Coffeyville, KS. Three stepdaughters; Ashley Hadley, Crystal Austin and Alicia Byrd, all of Parsons, KS. His three brothers; Earl Britt and Johnelle Wallace of Independence, KS, and Shawn Freeman of Coffeyville, KS. His three sisters; Cynda Smith of Coffeyville, KS, Janelle Banks of Memphis, TN, and Sharon V. Matthews of Independence, KS. His uncle, Mike Britt of Independence. Twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
The family has entrusted the arrangement of services to Zach and Dee Webb of locally-owned Zach Webb Family Funeral Service of Independence.
