George N. Anderson, 93 of Bloomington passed away at 7:15 AM on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at his residence with his daughters at his side.
George was born January 15, 1926 in Troy, Illinois to Clarence and Mary Kinder Anderson. He married Reva Mae Thompson on May 18, 1946 in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2016 in Bloomington.
He is survived by two daughters, Dr. Karen Anderson and Janice Kloppenburg; one granddaughter, Jana Anderson, his 4-legged “daughter”, Katie and one sister, Vivian Bonham.
George and his wife owned and operated T and A Appliance in Lincoln, IL. Upon retirement, they moved to Cape Fair, MO before returning to Illinois 12 years ago.
George was the best Father to his daughters, a loving husband, and a friend to many, many people.
A special thanks to those who cared for him every step of the way: Liz, Teri, Jackie, Morgan, the OSF Home Care team, and OSF Hospice for helping his daughters care for him with kindness and compassion.
