Karen (Longton) Hamilton, 56, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away at home on April 15, 2019, after a long battle with addiction.
Born January 25, 1963 in Lawrence, to Claire and Courtney Longton, Karen was raised and graduated from high school in North Andover.
She loved working with the children at Hilltop School and made many friends working for Silver Hill Elementary School. Karen was, for a long while, very devoted to West Congregational Church where she found peace and comfort during difficult times.
Karen loved the beach and laying out in the sun as well as picking up her favorite frozen yogurt, black raspberry chip, at Benson's Ice Cream. She absolutely adored her pug, Meisi, and all other pugs for that matter.
Karen is survived by her three daughters Lauren Hamilton, Rachelle (Hamilton) Jones, and Melissa (Hamilton) Cordeiro; grandchildren Asher, Isaac, and Elliot; parents Courtney and Claire Longton; siblings David, Cynthia and Alan; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services for Karen will be held Saturday, April 27, in the West Congregational Church, 767 Broadway, Haverhill, at 11:00 AM. Refreshments will follow in the church hall. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
