He was born September 5, 1946 in Edgecombe County, NC to the late James Bandy, Sr., and Lucy Dancy Bullock.
James was a member of the Fountain of Life Ministry.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Debbie Bandy of the home, one daughter; Francellia Bandy of Hampton, GA, two stepsons; Marvin Birth and Eric Whitehead both of Tarboro, NC., six step-daughters; Mary Ann Staton of Speed, NC, Elnora Birth of Princeville, NC, Donna Pittman of Tarboro, NC, Stephanie Jones of Charlottesville, VA, Tara Lyons, Chaqueta Veale both of Tarboro, NC, brothers; David Dancy of Lawrence, NC, George Bullock of Rocky Mount, NC Sidney Bullock of Atlanta, GA, James Earl Bandy of Newport News, VA Larry Harris of Pinetops, NC , Wilbert Harris of Fayetteville, NC, sisters; Elizabeth Bandy, Jackie Bandy both of Tarboro, NC, Elsie Bandy of Newport News, VA, Elizabeth Black of Princeville, NC, Joey Shields of Rocky Mount, NC, twenty one grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A viewing was held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 5:00- 7:00pm at Hemby- Willoughby Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral services were held 2:30pm Sunday, May 5, 2019 at St. James Temple Missionary Baptist Church with Minister Calvin Jones officiating.
Burial was made in the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
