Louisville, KY - Betty Walker Stancil, formerly of Sikeston, died at 3:05 p.m. Oct 1, 2001 at the Caritas Medical Center in Louisville.
Born in Sikeston, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther Krueger Walker, Sr. and was a member of the Auburndale Baptist Church in Louisville.
On June 10, 1946 in Benton, MO, she married John P Stancil, who preceded her in death on Aug 9, 1998.
Survivors include; one daughter, Beverly Lowe of Louisville; three sisters, Mildred Wills of Sikeston, MO, Margaret Breedlove of Louisville and Mary Ann Alcorn of Morley, MO; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Walker, Jr.
Services were conducted today at the Owen Chapel. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston. The Rev. Jim Barnhart, assistant pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston is in charge of local arrangements.
