John Morris King, 64, of Paris was dead on arrival Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Henry County Medical Center.

The funeral time will be announced by McEvoy Funeral Home. Gary Nash of Bird's Creek Baptist Church, where he was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery.

Visitation is planned from 4-8 PM Saturday.

Born in Henry County on June 26, 1935, he was a son of Lawrence P and Lillian Pearl Pierce King, both deceased. He was a retired contractor supervisor.

He leaves three sons, Richard P and Steven S King, both of Paris and Ronald M King of Nashville; and five grandchildren, Kristi, Brandi, Derrick, Joey and Patsy Lyn King, all of Paris.

He also leaves two sisters, Carolyn Bullen of Paris and Betty Holcomb of Goodlettsville; and three brothers, Dan King of Louisville, Ky., Wayne King of Waterford, Mich., Bob King of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

His twin brother, Horace King, died April 7, 1996.

A graveside service was planned at 10 AM today at Bevil Cemetery for Morris John King of Paris. Gerry Nash was to officiate. McEvoy Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Chosen as pallbearers were Jim Stanley, Randy Lowe, Joe and Billy Page, Bunny Spaulding and Mike Hunter.

King, 64, was dead on arrival Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Henry County Medical Center.

An obituary, which included survivors, was published in Friday's Post-Intelligencer. Information provided for that article incorrectly identified him as John Morris King.
