ADELA PHARES - Adela Phares, 83 Fountaintown, died Friday at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
Mrs Phares was born in New Palestine on December 19, 1907. Her parents were Christian and Mary Eichman Hoff.
She was a graduate of New Palestine High School and was employed as a typist for 15 years at American United Life in Indianapolis.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Charles H Phares; a daughter, Carolyn P Haas, Greenfield and a sister, Julia Snyder, New Palestine, and four grandchildren.
Her memberships include Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, the Zion Circle and Ladies Aid at the church.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 am at the Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, with the Reverend Ronald Baumann officiating. Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Hendryx New Palestine Chapel Sunday from 2 to 7 pm and at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church."
