Billy M. Mullins, age 87, passed away peacefully April 30, 2019 surrounded by his family. Billy was born and raised on a country farm during his childhood, later attending and graduating from Messick High School after relocating from Henderson, TN. That’s where he met Diane, his wife of 68 years. During his early career he worked for ESSO Standard Oil as a mail boy. This eventually led to him owning his own ESSO Service Station in Memphis. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. After serving his country, he began a life- long career in the insurance business, achieving numerous Top Awards.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael David Mullins and is survived by 2 sons, Tim and Pat; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and funeral services celebrating Billy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., all at Memorial Park Funeral home. Private interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
