She was born May 13, 1938 to Charles and Nola Raw. They lived in Bonner Springs, KS and she shared space with five siblings. Eventually relocating to Kansas City, KS in the 1950's, Elaine attended Rosedale High School and graduated in May 1956. She married Larry Hodges in 1958. They were married until Larry passed to illness in 2008. They had three girls and had relocated to Lenexa, KS. Larry bought a comfortable home on a quiet street. They would spend the rest of their lives living there to raise a family. As well, Elaine was the figurehead of a buisness, Elaine's Dusty Attic, located in Old Town Lenexa. Her interests included gardening, sewing, sketching, bowling, cosmetology, and doing business with antiques. She devoted much of her time and energy to being a care-giver to her family, while maintaining a diverse set of skills and attributes.
