Susan Renee Turner, 64, passed away on April 30th, 2019 at her residence in Cedar Park, TX.

Susan was born on August 4th, 1954 in Taylor, Texas. Her parents were Billy C. Turner, Sr and Agnes (Winkler) Turner.

Susan graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from St. Edward’s University in Austin. Susan embraced a lifelong career committed to the education and care of young children. She was the owner/director of Seventh Street Daycare and Early Learning Center of Taylor from 1978 to 1981. She went on to work for Montessori Schools of Austin, owned and directed Wood Forest Day School in Houston, and retired with the Houston Independent School District.

Her love for children was a big part of her life, including a special relationship with her nieces and nephews. Susan loved music and played piano. She had a special talent for interior design and loved decorating. Susan was a wonderful cook, which was lovingly passed on to her from her mother and grandmothers. She also enjoyed traveling, relaxing, and walking along the Galveston beach. Susan enjoyed spending time with all her cousins, who had a very special place in her heart. Another very special love for Susan were her pets. Over the years, she shared joy and love with many animals.

Susan was preceded in death by father, mother, and brother, Michael Wayne Turner.

She was survived by her brother, Billy Turner and wife Beverly; two nephews, Trey Turner, Clayton Turner and wife Allison; their children, Collins, Camryn, and Cory Turner; two nieces, Emily Turner and husband Daniel, Addison Turner and Luke George; and their daughter, Payton George.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Turner, Greg Turner, Ken Hines, Brad Hines, and Dusty Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Turner, Clayton Turner, Jeff Taylor, Jimmy Turner, Bobby Turner, Owen Turner, and Kenneth Hines.
