Dorothy Sheffield Moss, 97, of Broken Bow, passed away at her home, April 29, 2019. Dorothy was born February 6, 1922 in Mt. Ida, AR, to Robert E. Lee and Lula (Hicks) Sheffield.

Dorothy married Paul David Moss, August 12, 1939, in Battiest, OK, spending the first years of their married life moving with the Clebit traveling town. Dorothy was a member of the Pickens Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed fishing, piecing quilts, cooking, visiting with friends, and working in her yard.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lula Sheffield; her husband, of 69 years, David Moss; one sister, Margie Sheffield; one brother, J.R. (Bill) Sheffield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ruth and Marvin Walker; brother-in-law, Truman Hampton; nephews, Kenny Hampton, Mike Sheffield, George Puckett, Vester Holmes, Alivie Joe, Paul, Ricky, and Herschel Causey; and nieces, Ozelle Flourney, Rozelle Cross, Donnie Causey, and Barbara Reynolds.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and JoAnn Sheffield, of Enid; sisters, Juanita Hampton, of Battiest, Joyce Payne, of Kingston; many nieces and nephews and families; many friends, special neighbors and extended family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, May 3, 2019, at 2:00PM at the Pickens Assembly of God Church with burial at Bethel Cemetery, Bethel, OK.
