Jeanne Miller, age 56, died peacefully April 27, 2019 at her Mankato home with her family present. For weeks prior, there were many close friends, loved ones, and family that surrounded her with continued love and care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon Wednesday, May 8 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to service at church on Wednesday.

Jeanne was born on June 18, 1962 to Robert D. and Rosemary K. (Lehar) Miller in Mankato. She attended catholic schools and graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1980. She continued her education in Alexandria, receiving a degree in Interior Design and worked several years as a respected Interior Designer. In 1990, Jeanne, along with her sister, Mary, opened M.J.Rose, a gifts, collectibles and home accessories store in the Madison East Center. M.J.Rose evolved into a family business, involving her parents. The success of the business and the relationships that were formed, Jeanne never took for granted.

In the years following M.J.Rose, Jeanne worked with the School Sisters of Notre Dame and most recently at Gustavus Adolphus College, where she was employed up until the time of her death. She cherished the wonderful friendships and bonds she shared with so many of her co-workers and peers. Jeanne lived her life with honesty, dignity, grace, acceptance and an unwavering faith.

Jeanne is survived by her father, Robert D. Miller of Mankato, her sister and best friend, Mary E. Miller of Mankato; many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, her godson, Devin and a ‘village’ of special friends and caregivers. Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Miller in 1996, aunts, uncles, grandparents and a cousin.

Jeanne’s family wishes to thank the Andreas Cancer Center for all the years of such wonderful care. Memorials may be made to the Andreas Cancer Center, Mayo Health System-Hospice or donor’s choice.

Jeanne was an inspiration to all that had the privilege to know her, lit up the world of those around her, and her legacy will live on and on.
