Mary Elizabeth Bradshaw, age 85, of Brady, Texas passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at her residence.
Mary was born April 5, 1934 in Brady, Texas to Edgar Charles Longely and Sarah Ruth (Howard) Longley. She was a Rochelle High School graduate.
She married Paul Richard Bradshaw on September 20, 1952 in Brady.
She was the school secretary at the elementary school of the Brady Independent School District. She retired after 37 ½ years with the BISD. She served on the Brady City Council for 9 years and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and the Garden Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brady where she was active in the United Methodist Women and the Emmaus community. She enjoyed yard work and tending her flowers. She was a lifelong Brady resident.
Funeral services for Mary Bradshaw will be held 2:00pm Friday, May 3, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Brady with Reverend Bun Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.
Mary Elizabeth Bradshaw is survived by her son Charlie Bradshaw and wife Stephanie of Brady, Texas; daughter Jeannie Lang of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren Jon Bradshaw, Amber Pyle, Brandy Jackson, Tiffany Friend, Michael Morris and Ashley Morris and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents and spouse.
