SUCCUMBED AFTER YEAR'S ILLNESS.
MRS. MARGARET KRENCEL DIES AT HOME.
After having been a sufferer from tuberculosis forever, a year, Mrs. Margaret Krencel passed away Saturday, at the home, of her daughter, Mrs. Caroline Berry, on Broadway She was past 80 years of age and during the past year had been confined to her bed for the greater portion of the time. She was born in Germany and was married in that country to Mr. Birkenbile, with whom, she came to America early during her married life. Most of her life in America was spent in Missouri, coming here about a year ago to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Berry. Five of her nine children survive her, they being: Chris. Birkenbile and John Birkenbile, of Oklahoma; William Birkenbile, of Florence, Mo.; Mrs. Joseph Kaufman, of Missouri, and Caroline of Muscatine. Forty-two grandchildren also survive, among them being Daniel Birkenbile, who made his home with her for years. Mrs. Krencel was a member of the German Methodist church and was active in church Work' until old age and sickness forced her to discontinue active service.
