Professional Footballer. He began his career playing soccer in Junior grade with the Ashfield Football Club (Ashfield F.C.) in the early 1950's. Afterwards he signed up for the team, The Celtic Football Club (Celtic). He made is debut in the late 1950's when playing against the team The Airdrieonians. Later during his career He scored three goals and won five caps for Scotland in the 1960's. He was chosen 4 times for the Scottish Football League XI. He spent 12 total seasons with the club Celtic, with obtaining the, Six league titles and the four League Cups. His most crowning achievement with the team Lisbon Lions was when he scored the winning goal at the European Cup Final in 1967 during the 85th minute of the game. He is also considered one of the best players ever with the goal score of 236 ranking fifth-highest of the Club. He later continued to appear in the Scotland's top tier, after leaving Celtic Park in the 1970's. He was also inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
