Francisca C. Garcia, affectionately known as "Panchita" went home to be with the Lord peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 4, 1928 in Runge, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Trinidad & Gregoria V. Cardona. She was a lifelong resident of Memphis, TX and resided in Harlingen the past 20 years. During her time here in Harlingen she was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her children, Frances Garcia (+Teofilo Garcia), Victor Garcia Jr. (Petra), Armendina Garza (David), +Maria de Jesus Torres (Victor), +Richard Garcia (Eva), Pauline Reyes, Pedro Garcia (Gloria), Guadalupe Chavera (David), George Garcia (Elvia), Florence King, Rosemary Busby, 33 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, one brother, Rudy Garza. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Francisca is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Garcia Sr., and their two children, Maria de Jesus Torres and Richard Garcia; former husband, Catarino Moreno and their children, Catarino Moreno Jr., Luis Moreno, David Moreno and her siblings, Santos Cardona, Porfirio Cardona and Encarnacion Martinez.
Visitation will be held today April 29, 2019 beginning at 10:00 am to 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm Monday evening at Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at Robertson Funeral Home located at 514 North 10th Street in Memphis, Texas 79245 (806)259-3535. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday May 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis, TX. Interment will follow to Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, TX.
Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be her grandsons, Teofilo Garcia Jr., Oscar Garcia, David Garza Jr., Bobby Torres, Richard Garcia Jr., Vernon "Trae" Busby, David "DJ" Chavera and Gregory Garcia.
