GREGORY ALLEN MORRIS SR., 64, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD. He was born on July 5, 1954 in Hagerstown, MD to Mina Azelia Sweeney Morris-Hege of Hagerstown, MD and the late Wilbur Lee Morris.
Gregory was a 1972 graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD. He was employed by Beaver Mechanical Contractors of Hagerstown, MD for 32 years as a Plumber until his retirement. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was a past member of IORM Conococheague Tribe #84 Williamsport, MD.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Sue “Becky” Griffith Morris whom he married on December 15, 1973; son Gregory A. Morris, Jr.; daughters Deanna D. Morris, and Celeste M. Morris; sister Tina M. Palmer; brothers Darrin T. Morris, and Bradley D. Morris; grandchildren Caitlyn A. Morris, Donavan J. Taylor, Darius J. Taylor, Blaine G. Morris, Ray D. Becks, Ariana R.M. Morris, Douglas S. Gamby, Jr., and Magdalene M. Gamby; his faithful companion “Bear” who is a chow/german shepherd mix.
He was predeceased by a brother Gary L. Morris and his beloved grandfather Charles T. Sweeney.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, MD Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD.
