Sandra is survived by her daughter Kim Mabe (David) of Walkertown, NC, her brother Tommy Key (Kitty) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and two grandsons, Steven and Joshua Mabe. She is preceded in death by her parents, Florence P. Adams and William Cecil Key.
Sandra was born March 3, 1948 in Greensboro, NC. She graduated Ben L. Smith Senior High School in 1966, and then started her IT career at age 18 at Jefferson Pilot Insurance in Greensboro, NC. She moved on to Integon Insurance in Winston-Salem, NC, and then to Lincoln Financial Group in Greensboro, NC. She retired from Lincoln Financial on March 30, 2017 at the age of 69.
She was an active member with ABWA, American Business Womens Association, since 1975. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach. She never met a stranger and loved everyone.
I would like to thank all the family and friends who prayed, loved and supported her and the family during this difficult time.
A special thanks goes out to the doctors and nurses at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in the 5A Trauma ICU. They were amazing in the care they gave to Sandra, and the support they gave to her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Leslie Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory (Walkertown).
