Surviving are his wife, Gail, Goshen, mother, Carolyn (Jim) Greenwood, Elkhart, siblings, Glenn Hart, Alabama, John (Debbie) Hart, Elkhart and Christina Shrock, Waterloo.
Preceding him in death is his father, William and a brother, Dave Hart.
Gary served in the U.S. Marine Corp and was a member of the New Paris Church of the Nazarene. He worked in the wood shop at Veada Industries. Gary loved anything to do with the Marine Corp and he loved his cat, Teddy Bear.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with the service following at 1:30 p.m. all on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastors Bryon Smith and Dave Hackney will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
