Ross is survived by his sons: Steve Pugh, Travis Pugh; sisters: Lois Lee, Eleanor Eckhart; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren: his canine companion Mollie; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Ross was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ray Pugh; and sisters Doris Bills and June Wright.
Ross proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved riding his lawn mower and going uptown to greet everyone. Ross always had a smile, loved to laugh, was happy to see everyone, and could talk to anyone. Ross was a dedicated recycler in Grand Rapids and was affectionally known as the “Can Man.” He was a sports fanatic who loved the Cleveland Indians and supporting the local youth sports teams. Ross loved to take things apart and see how they run and could fix anything except his TV remote. He had a “green thumb” and loved to grow flowers, especially tulips and had a special place in his heart for his canine companion Mollie.
