Funeral Services for Douglas Thornton, 80, of Tyler are scheduled for 11:00am, Friday, January 18, 2019 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Ken Dance and Mark Childers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior.

He passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 in Tyler.

Douglas was born on January 2, 1939 in Colfax, Texas to the late Raymond B. Thornton and Pauline Allen.

He worked at Ana-Log, Inc. for 43 years.

Douglas was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to everyone he met. He was loved not only by his family, but by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Thornton. He is survived by his lovely wife Sherry Thornton of Tyler; daughter Lori Allen and husband Chris of St. Louis, Missouri; son Jason Thornton of Tyler, and granddaughter Miranda Allen of St. Louis, Missouri.
