EAST LIVERPOOL — Kathryn E. Hescht Starr, 70 of East Liverpool passed away at the home of her granddaughter in East Liverpool on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, after a battle with cancer.
Born on Sept. 29, 1948 in Newell, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Pete Leek and Lois Phillips Murphy.
Before retiring, she had worked for various restaurants as a waitress. She was a former member of the Newell Nazarene Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Edward Gallagher II, and Tammy White; and two brothers, Robert K. Murphy, and Rex A. Murphy.
Survivors include her daughter, Heidi L. Gallagher of East Liverpool; and her brothers, Kenneth (Ty) Phillips and Burton L. Murphy, both of Chester, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family is fulfilling her wishes that no services be held. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
