Francis C. Englert, 66, of 1836 Belmont St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, Jan. 8, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will officiate with military rites accorded by Otto Oas Post N. 659 and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Englert was born Aug. 12, 1915, at Salem, Ohio, son of the late Frank L. and Elizabeth Neiheisel Englert. He grew up and was educated at Salem, Ohio, moving to Manitowoc in 1946, living here until 1973 when he moved to California and in 1978 he moved to Upsilanti (sic), Mich., and returning to Manitowoc in 1980. Mr. Englert was a former employee with Hamilton Industries retiring in 1968. He married Helen A. Rezek, Jan. 28, 1945, at Cheyenne, Wyo. She preceded him in death April 28, 1972. Mr. Englert was a member of Western Fraternal Life Association Lodge No. 360. he served in the United States Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945.

Survivors include two brothers, Regis Henry Englert of Upsilanti, Mich. and William Harold Enlgert of Yucaipa, Calif.; one aunt, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Robert and Edward.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday until the time of services. Prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday by Rev. William Zimmer.
