Bobby Don Cummings was born December 30, 1938 in Johnson County, Texas. He had been a resident of Canton most of his life. In earlier years, he served in the US National Guard and worked for Van Zandt County Sheriff's office. He owned B&E Dairy in Canton for 20 years, along with his wife, Esther, and also ran Cummings Transportation for many years.
Bobby passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 27, 2019, at the age of 80 . He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Esther Cummings, and parents, William Edward Cummings and Francis Rogers.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra Pendleton (Brad) of Canton, and Francile Olson (Donnie Wilder) of Canton; adopted daughter, Donna Mills (Greg) of Mississippi; brother, William Cummings of Buffalo; grandchildren, Josh Olson (Ashley Neff), Erica Wilkerson, Garrett Wilkerson (Aryn), Shauna Thompson (Jeremy), Jolie Crow (John David), and Jake Olson; great-grandchildren, Bryntlee, Henlee, Brayden, Brylee, Jaxyn, Kambry, Blane, Harper, Rydin, Mackenzie, John Garrett, Alyssa and Sawyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services for Bobby Cummings were to be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Hilliard Funeral Home.
