Barry L. Bowman, 78, of Steelton, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on April 22, 2019. He was born August 3, 1940, son of the late Ira & Mary Bowman. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Bowman, Steelton; daughters, Paige L. Bowman, Salem, CT and Lanelle Zeigler & son-in-law, Chad, who was like a son to him, Lower Paxton Twp.; two grand-puppies, Reza and Louie. Also surviving are sisters, Ruth Heath, Carlisle, Joyce MacDonald, Mechanicsburg, Hariett Farling, Linglestown; brothers, Richard Bowman, Seattle, WA & Scott Bowman, Steelton; plus many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Carter, FL, Gerri Grove, FL & Beverly Smith, Dauphin; two grandpuppies, Asker & Spike.

Barry had been a hunter & fisherman and was retired from TRW & Steelton-Highspire School District. He was an avid Alabama fan, loved to travel, go to the Casinos and going out to dinner (especially Seafood). Barry was 16 year Cancer Survivor.

It was his wish to donate his body to Humanity Gifts Registry. A Celebration of Barry's life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. - Steelton.
