After spending her childhood in LA, she met and married her husband, Milburn Richards and together they ultimately settled down in Eastern NC. Throughout her life, she worked as a Hairdresser. She was an avid reader who truly loved a good book. She also enjoyed revisiting her home state to attend family events and gatherings.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn, both parents and several siblings.
She leaves behind one son; James Richards and his wife, Patricia and a very special grandson, Zachary, all of Ayden.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 2:00pm at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
