Smith- Barbara Malinda, daughter of David and Rosanna (Overholser) Flory, was born Dec. 23, 1874, in Jackson Twp., Darke co., Ohio. she died Oct 24, 1965, about 1:15 p.m. in the Wayne Hospital, at Greenville, Ohio, where she was a patient for six days. Her journey was 90 years, 10 months, and 1 day.
On Dec. 31, 1893, she was united in marriage to David Madison Smith, He died March 25, 1937. she was a native and lifelong resident of Darke Co., Ohio. She was a member of the union City district, Old German Baptist Church.
they had 9 children. Surviving are 3 sons, Homer, Harry, and Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Dennison 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Miller Funeral Home by T. C. Boone and the undersigned. Burial was made in the Brethren Cemetery at Union City, Ind.
